He entered the semi-finals twice in 1999 and 2003, though he is still looking for his maiden title.

He made his public television appearance with the show Bullseye. Little has also played darts for charity. He made his World Championship debut in the year 1989, but he badly crashed out of the championships. Before this, he had already won his first major tournament, the Isle of Man Open in the year 1986. The year 1990 was one of the memorable ones for Little as he won several tournaments, such as the 1990 British Open and made his way rapidly to the top of the British player ratings.

Little won the honour of the World Championship Runner-up in 1993 and the World Masters Runner-up in 1998. As far as his best performances in PDC Premier Events are concerned, Little has been the World Championship Semi-finalist in 1999 as well as 2003; World Matchplay Runner-up in 1997 & 2000 and World Grand Prix Winner in 2001.

He has won several other tournaments such as the Atlantic City Open, Cleveland Darts Extravaganza, Belgium Open, Finnish Open, British Open, Dutch Open as well as the England Open.

The World Final in 1993 is considered to be his biggest loss as he fell prey to John Lowe losing out 3-6 and, despite all his efforts, he has not yet been able to win the world crown.
